Large and impressive brutalist bronze door handles. European, mid-20th century (1960s or 1970s).

The handles are heavily textured and appear to have been cast from part of a tree - possibly silver birch bark, with its characteristic horizontal lines. Both pieces are the same, with very slight differences in patina, and can be turned to use on a pair of doors or opposite sides; they are fitted to the door using two long bolts (not supplied) as suit the thickness of your door and the weight of the metal.

We also have a matching letterbox cover; escutcheon or keyhole plate and a double bell push (which will require a little work). If these additional pieces could be of interest, please drop us a note.

The items in this set have been left as found, unpolished; they each show differing tones from various areas of use over time with an overall nice dark patina.
