An Art Deco back-lit wall mirror with deep brass frame. European early to mid-20th century.
The brass-framed mirror sits in the centre of a hammered brass bowl and conceals a simple lighting fixture which provides indirect light. The piece is in good overall condition; there is some fading and wear to the mirror glass and minor scratches to the brass, mainly to the inside (see images).
The light sources are accessed by releasing the mirror at the bottom and swinging the mirror outwards. The piece is designed to be used as a wall light - there is no external cabling - and has new wiring to take three small screw-fitting bulbs.
