Highly unusual Art Nouveau or Secessionist chandelier. Early 20th Century, European, probably German or Austrian.
The chandelier has a brass frame - partly hammered - in the shape of a viking ship with dragon's head at the prow. The frame carries six lights (three on each side) representing shields and two attractive glass lanterns of Bohemian-style pink glass with yellow decoration. The wiring is both functional and decorative, following the line of the ship's rigging.
The piece is in good overall condition with some tarnishing to the brass as shown. The wiring is original and is shown here for illustration. Rewiring is included in the price in coloured braid of your choice.
