A double-sided brass table mirror by Hans Agne-Jakobsson, mid-20th century, Sweden. Full size reflecting mirror to one side, and smaller magnifying mirror the to the reverse. The mirror turns left/right through the stem and the tilt can be adjusted through the side fixings.
The piece is in nicely made, in fair vintage condition, with original off-white adjusting screws on the sides and the Jakobsson label to both the base and the upper frame.
Marks and signs of wear to the brass frame and the mirrors, in line with age and use, including light scratches and a heavier patina to the base (brass left as found); very slight movement of the larger glass when turned vertically and paint losses to the underside of the base. We recommend the side screws are re-tightened after changing the tilt position.
Approximate dimensions with the mirror in the vertical position.
H: 36.5cm
W: 28cm including fixings
D: 16.5cm at the base (equivalent to the diameter of the base)
Mirror glass diameter: main 22.2cm and magnifying 10.7cm.
The piece will be dismantled for shipping.
