A set of two large and impressive brutalist bronze door handles. European, mid-20th century - 1960s or 1970s. Both of the same design which can be used as together by turning as shown in image 1.
The handles are heavily textured and appear to have been cast from part of a tree - possibly silver birch bark, with its characteristic horizontal lines. Dark patina - slightly different on each piece - which has been left as found. The handles are fitted to the door using two bolts (not supplied) as suit the thickness of your door and the weight of the metal.
Approximate dimensions:
Main plate of the handle is H 19.5cm x W 14cm.
The depth from the face of the door to the front face of the handle is approximately 8 cm.
We also have two further singles of this design available separately.
Please contact us here with the name of the piece if you would like more details or images.
