A large sculptural bronze push-pull door handle, of square form with raised semi-abstract design depicting craftsmen at work. Mid-20th century, European.
A heavy piece, made of cast bronze with changing tones from use; we have not polished this piece and it retains a heavy green/brown patina and weathering, with brighter gold highlights along the top. There are minor signs of wear in line with age and use, as one might expect.
The bracket on the reverse sits under the left side of the handle when viewed from the front (main image); it looks to be removable/reversible, though we have not tried to remove it. The handle is attached to your door through two points on the bracket, using fixings suitable for the weight of the metal and the design of your door (fixings not supplied).
