A curved door handle in the shape of a seashell. Found in Germany, late 20th century.
This is a large and heavy piece, nicely made of cast and patinated bronze, with a deep brown finish and changing tones from handling and weathering. There are signs of wear, as one might expect from age and use, including rubs, scratches, oxidation and the occasional tiny trace of old paint. The curved shape continues from the leading edge around to the fixing area on the face of the door, with no separate bracket.
Fitting is through two holes on the reverse, each taking an M8 bolt (not provided) as suit the weight of the metal and the thickness of your door.
