A double sided screen of layered plywood cut to create abstract designs in an art deco style. Mid-20th century European, possibly German.
The piece is in good original condition, with some signs of the artist's workings - including pencil and ink marks, and small incisions - and general wear in line with age including scratches and small chips. Hand-crafted artwork or folk art.
For us the piece stands alone as an art piece, but also works well as a mid-height room divider, studio screen or gallery screen.
