Lounge chair with stylish organic shape. Design attributed to Fritz Neth for Correcta, Germany, 1950s.
The chair has a high back, with a continuous shell seat, curving at the front to form low armrests. The legs are brass finished in metal capped feet.
The piece is in good vintage condition with olive green imitation fur upholstery. The fabric is not the original and although this remains a comfortable piece, new upholstery is recommended for daily use. Elsewhere there is wear to the legs and rubber on the feet as one might expect from age, and there is a small amount of corrosion at the tops of the legs (see image), which is not visible in use. The brass legs have been left unpolished and have a nice mellow patina, consistent with the age of the design.
Dimensions: H 97cm x W67cm x D64cm | seat height 39cm to centre front.
