A mid-20th century Italian chandelier with hand made art glass rings. An unusual fixture, with lots of detail, this is piece for lovers of interesting patina and pieces which celebrate their age.
The frame comprises an arrangement of 32 hanging rings of art glass - possibly Murano glass - and 40 metal discs, each piece held in place with decorative screws. The glass is in good condition, with the occasional small nick which does not affect the outline, and the body shows heavy patina to the brass finish throughout; a few of the small screws have been replaced with modern alternatives on the inward-facing frame. The brass finish has not been cleaned, and the original stem and canopy are in place.
There are eight light sources - all uplighters - which have been rewired, and take small screw-fitting bulbs.
