A ceramic coffee table by Roger Capron. Glazed tiles in a palette of greens and browns form the modernist outline of a sunflower against a neutral background. The table top is finished with a surround of bent ply, nicely joined. The simple, low design has a Japanese feel.
The table is in good vintage condition, with minor signs of wear including light scratches to the glossy surface of some of the higher tiles; there is a partial stamp to lower left and a hand-written annotation to the underside. Images taken in lots of natural light from the left.
