An all-original example of the Madame chair by Fritz Neth for Correcta, Germany 1950s.
Wonderful organic sculptural design, which is both stylish and extremely comfortable. These chairs do not often come to market, especially in nice vintage condition, so we have elected to offer this piece in its original form.
The original fabric is a light beige/green, in the style of short-haired velvet, and there is wear to the upholstery consistent with age and use. The foam interior has some light surface deterioration (crunching) as one might expect, and there is some creasing to the fabric in those areas. The legs are finished in brass, which has developed a mellow patina and there is some wear to the metal/rubber of the feet. New upholstery would be advised for regular use; for us it presents well with its own vintage character, and considerable charm.
