Pendant Light with Large White Glass Shade attributed to Pukeberg, Sweden
A simple and elegant pendant light with a white glass shade attributed to Pukeberg Glassworks of Sweden, first half twentieth century.
The pendant features a generous oval shade, nicely made, with a simple chrome-finished stem and ceiling canopy. The cased glass gives a diffused light and the shade is open at the base.
Overall the piece is in good vintage condition with minor marks and small nicks to the edges of the glass (difficult to see when hanging) and small signs of age elsewhere. The wiring has been renewed in recent years and is PAT tested for the UK. The single lamp-holder takes an E27 screw-in bulb and we recommend a low-heat model to protect the fixture for the future.
Approximate dimensions:
H 67cm (including stem)
H 37cm (glass only)
Diameter 29cm
The stem will be removed from the glass for transit.
Pukeberg Glassworks produced glass pieces for Arvid Böhlmarks Lampfabrik under the directorship of Harald Notini.
