A stylish pendant light with two folded shades and a striking minimal or architectural silhouette.
The light has a simple frame of tubular metal, painted black, with two light sources at different heights shielded from below by folded shades of organic shape. The two shades are the same; they have a slightly asymmetrical curve and appear to be of fabric coated in very light resin, which gives them gloss to the outside and stiffness (similar to parchment). The stems of the frame come together below a small ceiling rose of metal painted red, which pushes into place using a rubber grommet.
The fixture is in good vintage condition, with some signs of age. There are a couple of spots of discolouration on the shades but no dents or tears; a little movement to their shape may have been acquired during storage but overall the shape appears intentional, to help spread the light. The shades attach to the frame by spring-loaded clips and will be removed for transport.
The light takes two large screw-fitting bulbs; we recommend soft/warm LED bulbs to keep the heat down. Rewired. Please note this piece does not lend itself to adjustment in overall drop as the inverted Y shape of the frame is fixed.
