A sculptural brass door handle with abstract relief, and matching escutcheon or keyhole plate. Germany, mid-20th century (1960s / 1970s).
A heavy piece, made of cast metal - brass or bronze - with very nice changing tones from use; we have not polished this piece and it retains a heavy patina.
The bracket is finished with a light texture, and is attached to the plate by three screws on the reverse. The handle comes with two screw-bolts for fitting, otherwise it can be fitted using two long bolts (not supplied) as suit the thickness of your door and the weight of the metal.
Dimensions: the main plate is H 15cm x W 16.5cm.
Width including bracket is approximately 17cm.
The depth from the face of the door to the front face of the handle is approximately 6.4 cm.
