A set of two large handmade coat hooks decorated with enamel. Italy, mid-20th century. The enamel is nicely made in tones of red and orange raised over a dappled background in tones of very dark green/black and gold/bronze.
The pieces are in fair vintage condition, with minor losses to the finish of the black frames and an area of crazing / loss to the enamel on the left side of the lighter coloured piece (image 5).
Installation is through two holes in the black frame accessed by removing the small brass cover, which just pushes into place. Fixings not included.
