A striking square pendant light with black lacquered frame, plexiglass diffuser, and brass details. Design attributed to Stilnovo of Italy, 1960s.
Good condition, with minor signs of age-related wear and aged patina to the brass. The scale of this light, together with the length of the stem, suggest it may originally have been installed in a public building, but for us it could work equally well in a domestic setting.
The wiring is original, taking five fluorescent tubes, and we advise this is rewired or converted in the country of install to ensure it meets local needs and regulations.
The brass stem is in two sections, with a brass coupler, so the fixture can be used at different heights; alternatively the stem can be combined or cut by your electrician to suit your space. The light is shown in image 5 with the longer section only; the shorter stem is 50cm and both sections have similar aged patina. Original black ceiling canopy in place.
Approximate dimensions as shown in image 5:
Overall: W 64cm x D 64cm x H 130cm
Main body only (including brass trim): W 64cm x D 64cm x H 22cm
Stem extension (not shown): 50cm
The light will be partially dismantled for shipping.
