A large push-pull door handle with raised sunflower design, made of patinated and hammered copper repoussé, probably over wood. Found in Germany, mid-20th century.
An unusual hand-crafted piece in good vintage condition. The metal is mid-to-dark brown with some lighter tones where the surface is worn. There is minor asymmetry to the outline from the hand-crafting process; age-appropriate wear includes minor dents, scratches, dings and traces of cleaning paste (centre and upper left). Nicely made, but no maker's mark.
Installation through a fixed bolt on the reverse.
