A pretty table lamp of white metal (pewter or tin) made in Sweden, 1930s. Swedish Grace, or Art Deco style.
The design features a circular base raised on four feet, and central ball with engravings depicting the sun, moon, Saturn and lightning. The base is marked with the words Svenskt Tenn Konsthantverk - Swedish tin/pewter craft - together with symbols of Swedish pewter which show F8 - made in 1932 - and NH for Harald Nilsson.
The lamp is nicely made and in good vintage condition, with signs of wear in line with age and use. The shade carrier, which is fitted below the bulb holder, will take a shade with a duplex fitting; the carrier is a little mis-shapen but looks strong. The wiring has a Swedish plug and was probably replaced in recent years - we advise this is tested/replaced as necessary in the country of install prior to use. The bulb holder takes a single E27 screw fitting bulb.
Approximate dimensions:
Overall height: 51cm including shade carrier
Height to bottom of bulb-holder: 27.5cm
Diameter at base, including feet: 14cm
Works nicely with this little sconce from the same era.
