A sculptural and rarely seen "TAW" table lamp by Luigi Massoni for Harvey Guzzini, Italy. Designed 1968.
The strong design comprises a semi-opaque white glass ball suspended between three curved sheets of chromed steel, held by six chromed bolts with plexiglass spacers that "float" the metal away from the table top.
The lamp is in good vintage condition with minor signs of wear as one might expect from age and use. The chrome is bright - and the surface very reflective - and the three panels have retained nice even curves. We have not noted any significant scratches or dents which draw the eye, and overall the lamp presents well with the original label on the underside.
The wiring is new black twist with an in-line switch on the cord. The lamp-holder takes a single large screw-fitting bulb (E27) and we recommend a low heat option to protect the fixture for the future.
Dimensions: H 34cm x Dia 41cm
