Vanity Mirror by Maison Siegel, France 1930s

Sold out

Large art deco vanity mirror made by Maison Siegel of Paris, 1930s.

The mirror has a bronze or brass frame with deep, rich patina. The stepped square stand is weighted with iron. The mirror has later glass, and is backed with bronze-coloured leather.

A simple, elegant design, probably hand-made with some slight asymmetry to the lines here and there (visible in image 5).

A heavy piece in good condition with some signs of wear to the metal parts, notably around the base of the stems (images 2 & 3). Stamped on the underside: Etabl-is Siegel, Paris.

Dimensions: H: 94cm x W: 48cm x D: 25cm at base

The dimensions are measured with mirror in the vertical position.
