A wall mirror of soft triangular form, the wrought iron frame decorated with scrollwork with a painted finished in old gold tones. In the style of Pier Luigi Colli. Mid-20th Century. Found in Italy.
The mirror is nicely made with occasional irregularities in the size of the scrolls, suggesting hand-crafting. Fair vintage condition with signs of age-appropriate wear, including minor losses to the mirror finish (mainly top left) and to the paint. The bottom point of the mirror has been nibbled away; this is hidden behind the frame. For us the best impression of colour appears in the close-ups of the scrollwork. See images for various details and overview.
The mirror glass rests in four tabs on the reverse of the frame, sliding in from the top. Metal and glass will be separated for transit.
